Apple is rolling out a new feature to share your exact location with 911

Apple is rolling out a new feature in its next iPhone software update to send emergency responders instant, exact location information in the US.  The new feature will be packaged as part of iOS 12, an iPhone software update due later this year which will calculate a caller's location based on data collected from WiFi access points, nearby cellular towers, and GPS.

Nigeria loses first match 2 – 0 to Croatia : World Cup 2018

The Super Eagles of Nigeria’s first match in the 2018 World Cup, against Croatia, ended in 2-0.

First, Etebo Oghenekaro scored an own goal in the 32nd minute and in the 71st minute, William Troost-Ekong gave away a penalty, which Luka Modric put safely in the net.

Yahoo Messenger is shutting down on July 17, 2018

Instant messaging app Yahoo Messenger is shutting down after 20 years of operation.

The company announced that the messenger will be shut down on July 17, 2018, taking it out of competition against the more popular ones like WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook Messenger.

Yahoo, in a statement, said:

US, Canada and Mexico to host 2026 World Cup

The North American countries of  US, Canada, and Mexico will host the world cup in 2026 as it beats  Morocco to win the bid.

According to BBC, the bid, tagged “United 2026,” garnered 134 votes, way over the 65 of Morocco.

Both Mexico (in 1970 and 1986) and the US (1994) have previously hosted a football world cup tournament.

Carlos Cordeiro, the US football president, said:

"Football is the only victor. We are all united in football. Thank you so, so much for this incredible honor. Thank you for entrusting us with this privilege."

UCSI University Ranked Malaysia's #1 Private University - My Alma mater

UCSI University has been ranked as the nation’s best private university according to the QS World University Rankings 2019.

The University was placed 481st place out of the top 500 universities globally.

UCSI Vice-Chancellor and President Datuk Dr. Khalid Yusoff said

Facebook is removing trending topics feature

Facebook is shutting down the trending topic,  this feature helps to highlight interesting conversations on the platform. The company announced this on June 1st, 2018 and states,
"We’re removing Trending soon to make way for future news experiences on Facebook. We introduced Trending in 2014 as a way to help people discover news topics that were popular across the Facebook community. However, it was only available in five countries and accounted for less than 1.5% of clicks to news publishers on average. From research, we found that over time people found the product to be less and less useful. We will remove Trending from Facebook next week and we will also remove products and third-party partner integrations that rely on the Trends API."

While the trending topics will disappear, Facebook is currently testing a new option with 80 publishers around the world.
