President Buhari gives reasons for rejecting the electoral amendment bill


President Buhari has given reasons for refusing to assent to the Electoral (Amendment) Bill, 2018 recently passed by the National Assembly for the third time. Last week, President Buhari rejected the amended electoral bill.
In a letter sent to the senate which was read during plenary today December 11th, President Buhari said he rejected the amendment because any amendment could cause an uncertainty into the electoral process for the 2019 election. Read what he said below

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump told Democratic leaders at the White House that he will shut down the US government because they refuse to approve billions of dollars in funding for his controversial Mexico border wall.

I'm On A Rescue Mission! Alao Akala Says As He Kicks Off Governorship Campaign



A former governor of Oyo state and the governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in the forthcoming 2019 elections, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala has said he is seeking another opportunity to govern the state on a mission to rescue and re-position the state for the betterment of the people and investors.

Alao-Akala spoke today while delivering his address at the official presentation of the Alao-Akala and Olaiya as the ADP candidates for the 2019 gubernatorial elections cum official inauguration of the Akala-Olaiya campaign organization.

Akala said, “As a bonafide citizen, I’m seeking another opportunity to govern the state from May 29th 2019 with a rescue mission to reposition the state for the betterment of our people and investors.
